CANCELED DUE TO ILLNESS! TO BE RESCHEDULED.
What are some of the best low- and no-cost arts and cultural activities available and how do you sign up or otherwise access them? Find out as we review such activities as the Senior Studies Institute, Portland Community College (PCC) community education programs, Park and Rec’s Senior Recreation program, including workshops, hikes, fitness programs and van excursions; area theater and musical opportunities, the amazing number of available library programs and more.
After an overview of recommended activities from members of the NSV Program Committee, along with a detailed handout, we’ll break for refreshments and, then, will work one-on-one to help those of you who want to set up an account with Senior Recreation and/or PCC so you can easily register for activities that appeal to you. We’ll also provide tips on finding and registering for library workshops. Feel free to bring your laptop or tablet.
The workshop will be held in the boardroom of the Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods (NECN). An accessible site, NECN is located at 4815 NE 7th Ave, Portland, 97211, off of NE Alberta at the south end of the King School. The NECN entrance faces NE 7th; the parking lot is south of the building.
