Kensuke’s Kingdom takes place on a remote island that is the new world for Michael and his beloved dog after the two are shipwrecked and must adapt to life alone. Over time, Michael feels another presence and learns the island is one of both unimaginable danger and beauty. An eco-fable that imparts an important conservationist message with considerable style. The animation has a soft velvety palette that draws you in. Based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo.
