HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?
Prospective members may attend a Village 101 Talk, or contact North Star Village by calling our office at 503-793-8518 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. A volunteer from our Membership Committee will contact you for the next steps.
Prospective members will complete:
- Attend Villages 101 Talk: check our calendar for the next Village 101 Talk
- Interview: Two North Star volunteers will interview the prospective member in their home, to find out the prospective member's interests and needs and to ensure members expectations and Village services are aligned; to raise questions, clarify Village opportunities, programs and services; and, if there is a match, to welcome the prospective member to the Village community.
- Application: At that meeting the successful prospective member fills out the application, provides contact information, emergency information and receives written agreements between North Star Village and the member.
