2024-25 — Wild: From Lost to Found on the Pacific Crest Trail – Cheryl Strayed
UP's Spring 2025 Schoenfeldt Speaker will be author Cheryl Strayed, who joins our campus on Thursday, March 13th, 2025, 7:30-8:30pm in Buckley Center Auditorium, with a book signing to follow.
This year’s University of Portland ReadUP selection will take readers from California to Oregon, as local author Cheryl Strayed recounts the critical period in her mid-twenties where she walked herself solo through mourning, divorce, and self-destruction to find her way back to an authentic self – all along the Pacific Crest Trail.
ReadUP is University of Portland's annual celebration of literature in which the entire local campus community—students, faculty, and staff—are invited to read "one book together."
