Administrative support and marketing emerged as top priorities from last year's discussions with Village Councils and during the Listen Lunch and Learn focused on removing barriers. Building on those insights, the upcoming Listen Lunch and Learn on April 16 will address the critical transition to hiring paid staff. By moving toward paid staff positions that serve all Villages, we can ensure continuity, reduce volunteer burnout, and enhance our collective impact.
The Staffing Committee has developed two job descriptions, which were presented at the March Circle of Representatives meeting and included in last week’s Leaders Update:
Marketing Coordinator - Responsible for content creation—websites, brochures, social media—and for increasing community awareness of Villages.
Administrative Coordinator - Assists with initial inquiries about membership and volunteering, provides administrative support for documents such as updated drivers’ licenses and insurance cards, reviews service requests for completeness, and contacts members for any additional information needed,
Village Council members, team leaders, and key volunteers are welcome and encouraged to join this session. We recommend carpooling, and don’t forget to bring any questions you may have. Lunch will be served. When registering, please specify your Village or VNW Team and note any dietary restrictions or additional requirements for the host.
