Book Group Pilot Program Begins February 25th

 

 


Ten members of North Star Village met recently to discuss starting a book group and all the things to consider. As a result, the group decided to establish certain ground rules and pilot a book group for three months to see what works and what doesn’t. At that point, we’ll report to the full membership, and we hope to be in a position to expand so we have several book groups. 

During the pilot program, every six weeks, participants will read a book selected by the group and meet for a 1½ hour discussion about the book at a member’s home.  We will pick up free copies of the 2019 Everybody Reads book, Americanah, from the library; we will also read a book from one of the library’s Pageturners To Go book club kits, and finally, we will read a book that is readily available for check out from the library.
