Creative Writing Workshop
Tuesday, April 23rd, 1:00-2:30 p.m.
Jumpstart your creativity with writing prompts. Just as athletes do warmups prior to competing, so writers use writing prompts to limber up and get ready to do some serious writing. Whether you are interested in writing family stories, a memoir, a novel or a children’s book, these writing prompts will help to energize you and get you excited about writing. During the 90-minute workshop, participants will respond to a variety of writing prompts by writing short pieces and sharing them in small groups.
The instructor is North Star Village member Liz Kennedy. Liz, who has a B.A. degree in English Literature from Brown University, spent 15 years as a freelance writer and has won a number of writing awards from Kansas Professional Communicators and the National Federal of Press Women (NFPW).
The workshop will be limited to 8 participants and RSVPs are required. Contact Liz Kennedy at
lizkennedy@wscribe.com
to RSVP and get the location of the workshop.
